I picked up a set of headers that have e vac tubes and breather thing on the collectors
he said that it was create a vac. in the valve covers and vent them threw the headers???
is this correctand if so would this cause oil to burn in the headers and make black smoke on high rev rpms???
should i keep them on or cut and weld fill the hole

are you running them with or without and exhaust system?

Pan e-vac doesn't work well with full exhaust.
That, and it most likely won't pass the sniffer test.
Cut em off, weld them closed, and run a normal PCV setup.

Robert, if you are running full exh., but would like to drag the car & have a built up motor (high compression) I would leave them on. At least so you could reuse them if you start racing it. They help make things easier on your motor.
They take un needed pressure out of your motor & shouldn't cause any smoke issues

IF you leave them on, and connected, make sure you have baffles in the valve covers...you'll be surprised how much vacuum is created from the evac. It might not "smoke", but it most likely willl not pass a smog test.
The standard PCV set up will provide more than adaquate crankcase ventilation in most cases...
