good morning how are we all doing, last night i left the studio early so i can go and move the chevelle out of the pole barn. i drove it to adams shop we also put the 327 in the back of his truck so we can do all the work to the car over there since he has heat. plus i can work on the car there more then i can at the pole barn do to not being able to go there when i want. the car drove great but it was SOOOOOOOOOO cold no heat in the car since i un hooked it since i was going to work on the engine bay so that 30 degree south side of chicago weather sucked. i took the oil pan off due to i had no idea what i was going to see. the cool thing is WOW you can still see the hone marks in the walls. i have some JE pistons from what the code and the je stamped on them. the rods are called pink rods and the oil that was in the bottom of the pan was super clean so thats cool and no water in it so thats a plus. im going to redo the intake since when i put the torker ll on the little rubber gaskets well i didnt like how they looked didnt feel safe so im going to put in intake gaskets on so that should make me feel happy. so all i need to do now to get it running is buy a new Magnetic Drain Plug, Headers, 2 mufflers, oil pan, strait pipes, MSD ignition system kit, upper and lower radiator hoses, and some u joints and i should be on the road :hurray::hurray::hurray:

Sounds like a plan, man!:D It's always a relief to pull an engine apart and find only good things inside! Are you going to use just a bead of silicone on the front and back of the block instead od a gasket? That's all I have used for years with no problems ever. Current engine has been together at least 6 years and still no leaks!

yup i am going to use the silicone i was going to the first time but the person i was buying the engine from helped me put the intake on and well im not happy with that style of gaskets, o man i was so happy i was thinking all kinds of bad things that could be wrong. the funny thing is once we took all the pan bolts it took me about 10 mins to take the oil pan off hahahhaha i was like i dont want to
