Just looked at a 66 SS 138 Vin'ed car.

It was orginally maroon, bench seat, AC, Auto on the column car.

most all of the original interior is there, but needs to be replaced.

the AC condensor, firewall set-up and inside peices are still there, but the brakcets are gone.

At least the driver side pans need to be replaced because the drivers window is broken out.

I am assuming at least partial quarters and some metal work in the trunk. The hood trunk and doors are mostly solid , with some minor pin holing

It now has a 350 in it, with a hokey floor shift that can be yanked.

asking price 3500

What do you guys think?

does the car still have a 12 bolt rearend in it.Those rears are $800.00- $1000.00 or more depending on the condition. And also how are the window chanels and dash area. Those always are problems in the chevelles. All in all a ss chevelle should be worth that price even if it needs alot of work.Mine is a 66ss original 4 speed car with pedals still in it and it needs trunk and floor board work and If I sold just the roller I would want 6 or 7k out of it.These cars are just getting harder and harder to get ahold of.And up to 68 you can be sure its a ss by the tag.
