Me too. I'm thinking it'll be another two weeks or more before I get back out there. Gotta finish this semester of school before celebrating.

If I'm not mistaken tomorrow is a 1/2 mile speedway night, with no test and tune at the strip. Could be wrong though.

I do not know if Alan has anything to do with this. I am not in charge of the rental deal. Since my car is in the shop I am in charge of cooking: salmon, steak, sausage, beans, french bread, etc, etc.

How much does it cost to rent the drag strip?

We are getting a bit of a deal due to the holiday weekend. I think it was 2500.00 for the day. You can only bring 20 cars or so. For us it is a good deal because you can make as many runs as you want. Lots of time for testing and tuning.

Irwindale is always open Thanksgiving night. I passed by there, on the freeway, sometime last week and the sign did say they're going to be open.

Do the one-car one-driver rules still apply on track rentals? 125bucks a pop is pretty expensive, unless you bring friends and charge them parking or something.

No it ain't cheap, but consider you get 4 or 5 runs max on a Thursday night, 20 bucks to get in, travel time, fuel, etc. Sunday we will get 20+ runs if we want.
