My car din't slow dow one bit with a swap from a th350 to a th400.

It could have been due to a poor or defective th350, or the loss simply isn't as much as some try to claim. If you would see any loss, it really couldn't be any more than a tenth.

For my car runnin mid/high 10's, each tenth is approx 20 hp. It would have to be a terrible th400 to eat more than 25 hp over a th350.

My son's '70 Chevelle went 10.26 @ 130 MPH with a "Turbo 400" and 10.15 @ 131 with a "Turbo 350" the following week in similar air. 481 cu. in., 4.10 Ford rear end, Dart 335 CNC Heads, small Crane roller cam. I'd say about 15 horsepower difference.

Keep in mind that the faster you go, the more power it will draw. A tenth loss from a 10 sec. car will not be a tenth on a 14 sec car. I wouldn't worry about the loss.
