: Rocker arm studs...which for rollers?

Just got my AFR195's in the mail the other day(Thx WolfPlace!) and all I had thought to have done to them was drill the steam holes. Well today when I decided to check some fitament of my valve covers I suddenly remembered that my roller rockers(Harland Sharpe 1.5's) are 7/16! No biggie really except that I'm not sure which studs to order for replacement now. As I understand it the current rockers studs installed now are 7/16 in the head and 3/8 on top(AFR#6410). So do I just go ahead and order the 7/16" top and bottom studs from ARP(134-7103) or do I need to order studs made for roller rockers??? I only ask as ARP 134-7104 studs which are 7/16 bottom and 3/8 top are specifically listed as being for roller rockers and also have a stud length of 1.895" vs the 7103's stud length of 1.77" I have seen no listings specifically for roller rockers with a 7/16 top and bottom stud from ARP. WHat to do?

Justin

Justin Justin,
You are welcome, thanks for letting us help you spend your money :D

You probably want the 100-7101's, they are 1.900 on the top.

Some Al heads use a longer bottom section.
Or is that a BBC thing?

The 7101's are .750" long on the bottom I believe.

Nope,should be fine.
But screw em in by hand first just to be sure ;)

Also, check the intake ports to see if the stud holes come through.
If so be sure to put thread sealant on them or you will go nuts trying to find out why you are pulling oil into the cylinders :D

thx YET ONCE AGAIN Mike tongue.gif

If AFR's rocker studs are actually ARP hardware I believe the difference in length is only 0.050 anyway. Studs dont go anywhere extra so I'm good smile.gif
