My new best,
60 ft. 1.853
1/8 et 8.017
1/8 mph 91.09
1/4 et 12.367
1/4 mph 111.42

I was running kind of erratic today. That was also my best 60. I hook up better on the street than this track. I think you guys were right about my fuel system, I am going to have to go though it. I went up 2 jet sizes on the last run, My 60 sucked so my et was 12.43 but I ran 111.42 mph. Is this How I sould jet my carb, for mph? And how do I know to change my primarys or secondary jets?

My understanding is to jet for MPH. What are your current primary / secondary jets and power valves? Between plug reading and jetting for MPH you should come close to finding the sweet spot. Traction issues complicates tuning via ET, MPH changes reflect HP gains / loss. Look at your timing curve and pump shot cam / nozzles as well in your qest for the "SUPER TUNE". Good fun!!!! Hey, looking at your sig, wondering what RPM your at at the stripe with the 30" tire and 4.56 gear? I am also using a 30" tall tire, but with 3.70 gear and thinking about a swap........

The 850 carb has power valve both front and back? I think so, so jetting "square" is right. About the same jet size front to back. My 770 was jetted 74 front /with power valve and 84 in the back, not equiped for PV in the back. Yours being a bigger carb, I would think that jetting is ballpark for sure. You would really have to make jetting changes back to back to back to judge how the car was reacting to chagnes made. You could start by finding out what Holley jetted that carb at box stock, great place to start. Score your self a set of jets that cover the range of sizes from a few numbers below and about 4 / 6 sizes larger. Jet up for top MPH, adjust the timing to macth the jetting and your getting closer to max performance. Be wary of going way lean and to much timing, keep an eye on the plugs from pass to pass. A spotter loooking for puffs of black smoke / rich can help determine where your at also. Man, I would love to launch on a sticky track with some 4.56 gears...might get Both of my tires off the ground
