Last thing I have noticed on my block for my new 460 build is there is no relief in it for the intake valve. Didn't get done at machine shop either. Using a 2.25 intake valve. I checked the clearance tonight and it has .045"-.050" of clearance as the intake valve clears the top of the cylinder. I am assuming this is plenty of clearance. How many out there are running a 2.25" valve and no relief? Would have liked the relief in the block, but if this is plenty of clearance then no biggie I guess.

I'd either notch 'em my self or have a shop do 'em. It's not as much of a valve clearance issue as airflow across the top edge of the block. Bolt the heads onto the block, then flip it over. You can scribe the outline of the chamber onto the top of the block and use that as your relief guide. I'd stay .100 above the top piston ring to be safe. You can almost fool the incoming charge into thinking it's flowing into a bigger bore.
The last one I had done, the shop clearanced/unshrouded the chamber to near the gasket line and did the same thing to the top of the block. It's worth some hp and once it's done, it's something that'll help airflow at all lifts.

Just use your headgasket as an outline and scribe away on both vlaves.
