Hi!

I would like to know, what kind of proportion valve to use on my 72 El Camino?

I would have 4-piston front discs and 95 Camaro Z28 rear discs..I know there is lots of good ADJUSTABLE valves out there, BUT our law in Finland prohobits these pieces for some reason. So what valve is available for my setup? What if I just put my stock 4wheel drum valve there=???

Also, should I use 7/8" or 1" bore master cylinder?

I ordered mine through MP Brakes (brass valve mounted on frame). About $90. funny thing is a couple years
before that I had put disc in the front only and a new prop valve among other parts.

So later when I put disc on the rear I ordered the valve for '4 wheel disc' brakes. It had an instruction sheet inside
that explained converting a 'disc/drum' valve to a 'disc/disc' valve (among other info). All they did was take
out the check valve at the front of the valve and put a brass plug in. (I didn't know this when I ordered it)

So now I have 2 prop valves, one with a check valve, one with a plug. I would have rather saved the $90 and
had them send me a .50 cent plug!!

If you have a disc/drum valve now, maybe contact MP Brakes and see if they can sell you just the plug.

Thanks. Quite interesting story. I do have disc/drum valve from Olds Delta '78 (from which I scored Hydroboost and disc spindles) so I may take a closer look at that thing...
