The door panels I have are Black with stiching on them...I think someone added pull handles at a later date but the chrome strip is straight accross the top with a black strip in the middle. Like I said it has carpet at the bottom. I will put a picture on this post. Engine block tag is 11R158613(engine block tag passenger side), #3973487 Intake on back side, 2 barrell, transmission CFD3/862448(on back) and 329 70 CA 57705.
Vin Plate# 134371R158613, Plate on firewall drivers side is as follows ST-71-13437, RO 1157 BDY, TR 703, 13 13 PNT, 03D218(under TR)(D could be a O,cant tell).
Sounds like it has original engine but the paint was Nevada Silver. Someone painted it along time ago...just once to black. They totally stripped it down and painted it. Has original bumpers and the hood is a raised hood and looks like someone filled the hood pin holes before they painted it. Then they put SS emblems on it and SS(camaro rallies 5 spoke charcoal with trim rings) on the tires. I think I should go back Nevada Silver with Black Heavy Chevy.....I just feel like this car was one at one time. Were there Black Heavy Chevy with white strips in 1971 even though mine is silver/black.

New for '71 was a "Heavy Chevy" package which featured special decals and some SS equipment. While the SS was based upon the Malibu, the Heavy Chevy was based upon the base Chevelle model, which had less trim. The Heavy Chevy could be ordered with any V8 engine except a 454. Like the Malibu 400 cars, many Heavy Chevys have been converted to SS clones. The VIN on a '71 Heavy Chevy starts with 13437, while the VIN on a V8 Malibu or SS coupe starts with 13637.
