i had been losing power steering fluid from somewhere but i didnt know exactly where from. this weekend, i checked under the car and i noticed the fluid was leaking from the vent hole in the steering box. it would only leak when i turn the wheel about 3/4 of the way counterclockwise. is this something that can be fixed with the box on or does it have to be replaced??

Sounds like it needs new seals.
