I have seen many '65 door panels. Some had rug on the bottom under the lower stainless molding, some
didn't. Was this an option? Comments? :secret:

I think maybe the carpet was there because as your closing the door your foot often times rubs on it, or when opening it. This makes the vinyl dirty and scratches it, carpet keeps this from happening. Is it actually shaggy or carpet texture?

The same carpet/rug that is on the floor.

I think I found my answer. The lower door panels (not rug but darker plastic) seem to be used on 2 tone interiors only. Can anyone confirm this to be true? Next question is, are they available as "aftermarket"? :confused:
