What do you guys recommend to seal my intake bolts?. I'm getting tired of constantly pulling them out and resealing with liquid teflon. Thanks

Why would you have to seal intake bolts, does someone know something I don't? I just torque them down and never have had a problem.

Mine keep leaving puddles of oil on top of the intake.

Anyone here as stupid as me and tried to wash off rectorseal pipe adhesive with water, just to have it immediately harden on your hands..
I use the #2 permatex and a lockwasher on my intake as well..

Thanks. I'll try some #2 permatex and see what happens!

I was thinking sealing the threads to prevent coolant leakage. Oil leaks, seeps, weeps might be another matter. If the mating surfaces of the manifold, heads, and block are true and in good condition, gaskets should prevent oil escaping.

That's what I thought. The intake bolts don't penetrate the water jacket or valley between heads.

sounds like a valve cover issue to me...
only oil 'der in 'dem parts is from lifter valley.

Every engine I have had would have a few intake bolt holes that went all the way through the head and could leak oil from the lifter valley area.

I always use Permatex #2 on the intake bolts.

I have 882 heads with an RPM intake. The center bolts on both sides have always leaked up from the bolts. My valve covers are bone dry.
