I have a 66 Pontiac Beaumont with single mastercylinder with power drum brakes. I would like to install a duel mastercylinder. I would like to know if the brake pedal rod would be to short, to lnog or just the right size. I would also like to know if there is a replacement rod or an adjustment. If so what year, make and model. I have had a response but would like a second opinion.

thanks

If the car has a power booster, which it should if it is power brakes, the rod it part of the power booster assembly. The master cylinder should unbolt and the rod sticks out of the booster about 1.5". The dual master cylinder should bolt up and pedal height should be ok. If not, the only adjustment is at the pedal itself.
