Since my '71 Chevelle originally had a bench seat and I converted to buckets with original console, have a question concerning the "chrome" side trim. I have "heard" that originally from the factory Chevelle buckets did not use the chrome side trim as other GM "A" bodied cars. True statement? I have the side trim on the seats now that was installed by the upholsty shop that recovered the seat. Done a nice job on the seats but am having trouble with the chrome trim staying put, especially on the tighter curved areas. Trim looks like door edge guard from a O'reilly's, Pep Boys, Autozone, etc. Is there a larger trim that works in the correct fashion and where can I locate it, who carries it? Thanks for any replies.
