Can anybody tell me what year this steering wheel is? It's in a 68 el Camino now, but the steering column has been replaced. I want to put in a grant steering wheel and will need to get an adapter for the correct year.
Thanks Dave

My 79 Chev had that EXACT wheel in it when new.
Now it has one from an 85ish Monte Carlo
Much smaller and easier to deal with.

This may be too late and your mileage may vary...
Grant specifies a 3162 adapter for a 1968 El Camino. But this adapter requires the horn feed through to be at about 1:00 o'clock. Yours may not be there, or at least mine was not. You could just rotate the horn contact ring to match, but then your turn signal cancelling would be off balance since the cancel cams are part of this contact ring.
The 3196, as specified for a 1969 puts the hole for the horn feed through at 11:00 o'clock and works much better
I would also point out that you can use a piece of 0.25" OD plastic tubing to hold the horn wire into the plastic feed through tower. Just cut it long enough to reach up to the adapter cover and drill it out just enough to get the Grant wire terminal through. This way you do not have to cut up your old horn button wiring.
I get the impression that 1968 was a crossover year because on the back of the Grant steering wheel box there was a 3196 for some 1968 Chevelle/El Camino combination. But I don't remember what that combo was and the Grant web site only comes up with the 3162 for any 1968's.

bet the collum is from a b body too
That steering wheel looks exactly like the restyled 1978-on Chevy pickup / van steering wheels (base level, not Silverado or Beauville van).
Take a look at this 1979 van wheel:
