Hey ya'll have a little problem with my built motor, timing is screwed up...took it to an oil cahnge place and the set timing while it was there...well i checked it when i got home and it was set on 6 degrees advance!! shouldn't it be around 12-14? oh and it has HEI ignition. rest of specs is in profile. thanks and by the way...i figured this out because it was backfiring really bad when i reved it up to sorta show off graemlins/angry.gif and it does it when you let of the gas while it is in gear, like when you are slowing down...i know the slowing down parts does not happen much but when it does i would like it not to back firs and pop

I would go with 12-15* before tdc.
