Need some help on figuring a fair price for my car…going through the divorce thing after 24 years, this sucks but here goes.
This is not a true SS car to my knowledge, it was purchased as a SS 396 Clone from Big Boy Toys in Pensacola Florida several years back. So the car needs to be considered a clone/custom/tribute/whatever but not a true SS.
Going from front to back, it has an aluminum Griffin radiator, GM ZZ 502 crate motor with less than 3,000 miles on it. The only modification to the motor is it now has Crane roller rocker arms. MSD ignition and has a reconditioned brake booster/master cylinder (looks very, very nice NOT the one seen in the pics). The power goes through a T400 back to a Moser 9 inch POSI rear-end with 325 gears. The rear-end was fitted with Wilwood power disc brakes. The exhaust is 2.5 inch all the way back, it does have DMH electric cut-outs. The paint is new but not perfect, it has a few runs that are hard to see but I don’t lie. I would rate the paint an honest 7.5 out of 10. I am very, very picky. The car has no HEAT or AIR. The wipers do not work either but the motor is new, there is a disconnect between the switch and motor…never drive it in the rain so it was no big deal. It has won in every show it’s been entered in, a lot but I won’t show all that crap just to help sell a car. The bottom line is this car is flat out nasty fast, it’s only been street raced a few times handily beating a newer Cobra Mustang and a 94 ZR-1 Vette. The windows could use some minor adjustments but to be honest, I always drive with the window at least cracked and I don’t hear the wind leaks. Not bad just trying to put it all out there. Oh yeah, no visors either. It has disc brakes all the way around, stockers up front with all new parts and Wilwoods in the back. Please look at the pics in the link provided. There are not too many pics but you can see the car before it was painted. It is now a Pontiac red that we brightened up a bit…it’s really red, the stripes are Nissan white with pearl, very subtle but nice in the sunshine. We found no rust to speak of when we took it down for paint. I'm not blowing smoke either, it may have some but we didn't find it. I’m not going to get my feelings hurt by any negative comments so just give me your thoughts. Thanks guys/gals.
