I'm looking for a new dash bezel panel for my '65. NOS would be great but a correct repro is fine too. A lot of the parts houses sell a panel that is all "chrome", but I'm trying to find a source for one with the correct finish. Like the original dash panel that was a silver painted finish with bright chrome only around the edges and around the gauges, etc. and has the "Chevelle" letters in the middle filled in with black paint. Anybody got a line on whole sells these dash bezels with the correct finish? Thanks.

IMO don't buy it unless you see it first (at a swap meet, a private sale...etc.).

You need to do more research...
What you have described here, is not correct (original)

Man, you're right about that - I'm having a hard time figuring out what an original dash bezel panel is supposed to look like. A previous owner of my '65 sprayed the entire panel black !!!!, so I'm not sure what the finish is supposed to look like. Any suggestions as to what I need to be looking for here, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I bought mine from our sponser here - Ground UP, at last year's Super Chevy show in Atlanta. It looks pretty close to what I remember from the day. The fit is fine with the guages and into the dash. OLDED

Always wondered how the fit was... is it fine as mentioned or is the fit near perfect?
Also, I am guessing a little touch up painting gray and black would be needed to look close to original?

Can you post a couple of up close pictures?

I have seen that the price has dropped since they first came out...I suppose not much demand.

Thanks, Dan

I'll try to this weekend. It isn't in the car permanently yet. I trial fitted it, assembled it, trial fitted it again and set it aside while I work on the rest of the beast. PM me at my home email from the profile and I'll send the pics. OLDED
