Did 1970 mdoel year cars come with the jack and handle in a bag, and did the spare have a cover on it? Thanks

As far as I know the jack handle and strut were held together by a wide rubber band (sleeve) and there was NO tire cover.

Rob, the spare tire cover is an ingeneous marketing creation of the aftermarket parts suppliers. One of several I can think of that never originally existed on 70 Chevelles.

Just like the cowl screens.
