I know a guy selling a used but fairly new Crower solid cam and lifters. He says he has about $270 into the cam and lifters and will sell them for $130. Is that a good deal? The specs are perfect for my budget vortec 383 build but for a few dolars more I can get a Reed hydraulic cam that will work great too. Any thoughts? Thanks guys.

my only exp with a used cam ended with a flat lobe. lifters installed in order too. i'd buy the new one. saving 50 bucks now could cost you lots more if it fails. jmo

I did offer him $100 but he never said yes or no. The Reed cam is new with lifters for $165. I think I`m going to pass on it and just buy a new one. Thanks guys.
