Guys,
Read a thread recently about similar question, but I'm still not sure...

I'm putting my 383 in my 64 malibu soon and need to decide on whether i should use my VicJr or Perf RPM intake. I want to run this at the track this spring. Am i going to loose much low end for a good launch with the VicJr? My understanding is that the high end is comparable between the two.

AFR 195's, 10:1 compression (~8.2 DCR), 282S cam, 3000 stall, TH350 w/ 3.73's

I'd stick with the tried and true RPM, I don't think you'd see a huge improvement on the Vic, and daily driving would be better IMHO with the RPM.

Or go with a great old Holley, 300-36 high-rise...

Tony r,

How similar was your setup???
I'm not planning on much more than mid 12's!

In a heavy car (esp with with shallow gears) I'd stick with the RPM, in a lighter car with more gear and a loose converter I'd go with the Vic Jr.

Just my opinion.

I'll use the RPM intake!
