Anyone live in that neighborhood. I am about fed up with RI so I sorta threw a dart at places I might like to live.
Found a job on Monster.com in Memphis and a house in the Jackson area.
I don't know that I'm ready to jump just yet, but I don't have the patience for this place much longer.
Thanks.

That's a heck of a commute at 90 miles.
If you don't want to live in Memphis (and who could blame you) you might want to check out northern Mississippi towns like Hernando or Southaven.

You'll find when and if you move down, that Tennessee is actually three different states. West, middle, and east. As far as terrain, west is flat, middle has rolling hills and east is mountainous. I own 5 acres in east Tennessee. One of these days, I'll get my house built and move back home. My opinion may be biased, but I love it there. A very good friend of mine is from Jackson area. Apparently the meth problem is pretty bad. Something to consider if you have kids.

Geez, thanks for the info.
We vacationed down in Seveirville(sp) a few years ago, that's why I thought TN. Pretty much the only place I ever visited that I would want to return to. My wife found a house on Isoldmyhouse.com and I found the job so it looked like a good fit.
Maybe I'll keep looking.
The commute doesn't much bother me. It looked like mostly a straight shot down the interstate. I've done 45 minute-1 hr commutes before. I'm just spoiled with my 10 minute commute now! :D

Well, you're sort of in the part of town I'm looking at. What would happen if a whiter than Wonder Bread Yankee showed up with his family in tow?
Some of that good ol' fashioned Southern hospitality, or a trip to the hospital? ;) :D
