Guys I need some info......what steering column will fit my 70 chevelle I want a tilt column. what years will fit? Also its a 4 speed all the ones I see for sale have the long arm where the transmission lock out is. I need the short I have a 454. please help ! if you know where I can buy one at a reasonable price let me know my email is listed here on team chevelle. :yes: also where the steering wheel bolts to what does this area look like I have seen sum with a plastic cover and some metal with screws which is correct?? thank you in advance for your help :beers:

Ground up can get you a rebuilt column. But you want resonable priced chevelle parts?:noway:

Come on guys no one even has a standard non tilt or knows where to get one for the 4 speed or any parts to rebuild it??

cheapest place to pick one up is going to be from a F body. Camaro/firebird something from 70-76 or 77, the intermediate shaft will still fit, theyre splined with a crossbolt like the chevelles.And theres a lot of mid 70s camaros out there, and most of them had a console, so no gear selector. jim

a few years back i bought one out of an impala, early 70's and it fi into a 72 chevelle ! ( but dont tell anybody! )
also look into fire birds, buicks, oldsmobile. 70-76 thoe's will fit also and go for less on e bay ! good luck !
