I like the aluminum one that loops from left rear to left front of the carb. Seems to be more stable than the one bolt cheapies.

I have heard that this type is verry good and doesn't move like other designs like the Lokar bracket that attaches to one carb bolt.

I have heard that the CSI/Holley/AED design is that it is difficult to use a dropped base air cleaner pan. That is not good in my book.To get around this you have to use a air cleaner base with not so low of a drop for more clearance.

Thats right...I'm running a drop base Moroso air cleaner and 14x5 K&N filter, with a 1" spacer under it,so it will clear the throttle linkage, but I have plenty of room with a 4" cowl hood.

The bracket bolts on top of the carbs baseplate so how would a 1inch spacer change anything?

Maybe I just read your post wrong?

I have been interested in this type of bracket as well but I haven't seen one up close installed with a 14inch dropped base air cleaner pan.

That's the reason I haven't bought one.
...Yet ;)

The other style that bolts to one carb stud will slip when you don't want it too. Most likely when you get on it at the strip.
