P245x60x15 = 26.6" (diameter) x 3.08:1
Drive / Driven
8 (1.84" dia.) / 19
9 (1.84" dia.) / 21
Yes, there is a nylon 9 tooth drive gear available for the 27 spline mainshaft.
Choose the best drive gear for future driveline changes.
I hope this helps.

HMMMM, 9 tooth nylon means you need to drill a hole in the main shaft unless you are lucky enough to have a 69 shaft when GM tried the POS plastic gear and trashed it the very next year. Use the metal gear, when I find one with the pastic gear it goes in the trash and a metal gear goes in.

I also agree with Wally, use a steel drive gear over the nylon drive gear every time you have the option on a Muncie. But mostly, I think the problem was the light duty designed metal clip securing the nylon drive gear to the mainshaft.
ST10s, and Richmond 4-5-6 speeds use nylon drive gears but, they are secured in place with snap rings and machined splines. These transmissions seldom have nylon drive gear issues like a Muncie.
