I saw this on the science channel last night. They were commenting on how the guy has made over 9 million selling property on the moon (that he dose not own) over the last 15 years! The TV show was about the race to get back to the moon by several countrys and claim the land for themselves.
I'm thinking about selling some property on Mars, anyone interested?

I saw one of these ads for property in Hawaii for sale in the Popular Mechanics classifieds many years ago. They were selling a documented one square foot of land in Hawaii for $100 apiece. I've always thought about what would happen if someone bought 10 of these all together and put several steel pillings in the ground on this 10 foot square and build another steel frame on top of this and put a house with a chopper pad on top. The only restriction that may be illegal here would the air space over the surrounding ground. I've never really been sure if this would be legal or not, but it is a great idea.

Hmmm not gonna be able to pull that off. The laws of land ownership consist of the land, minerals and resources below as well as the air space apove. Maybe a really small helicopter ;) Or better yet, buy 10 of them in 4 locations, construct post, and then obtain an easement over the others to utilize their airspace and build a bungalow :D
