I had the same thing happen to me, it wasn't a car but still.
Have you offered him anything else for it?

Tell him that you'll make his positive feedback rating go to 75% if he won't sell.

He added the buy it now for 15000 and his email about two days before the end.I emailed him asking when i could pick it up.He said the price is 15000 not 2000. The thing that makes me think it might be a scam is he said if id i agree to 15000 he would have to ship the car because he would be out of town. I was going to pick it up in person.Im not that stupid. I was pretty sure it wasn't legit and would have been surprised as hell if i really got the car for the final bid.

look at his feedback history... he hasn't done any business on ebay since 2005????
i went through this same thing 3 different times on ebay when i was looking to buy my first chevelle.
ebay sucks and i will never even think of buying anything on ebay. i actually sent a 2 page letter to ebay a few months back (not like it would do any good) stating that they are losing more and more customers daily due to their lack of better quality control with all of the scammers on there.

I sent Ebay an Email and they said they were 'concerned' but due to 'privacy issues' i would not be updated on the outcome iof their findings but to be assured they would look into it.They sure are concerned about protecting the scammers privacy huh?

Think about it, Scammers are e-bay customers as well paying listing fees.
