Steve Steve, I'd really like to know where you saw that on SLP's site. 'Cause the price I am finding is $399.

the SSM kit is pretty nice but is kinda hard to find since SSM is outta business. What it does is eliminates the torque arm completely and kinda works like a ladder bar setup but its not adjustable ...which is its downside.

I'd recommend Spohn (www.spohn.net) suspension products they're top quality and on some of the fastest stock style suspension f-bodies in the world. Get subframe connectors and then some good adjustable rear shocks, LCA relocation brackets, a Spohn torque arm, and some sticky tires. You should be able to hook quite well. :D

Well I look a little silly now. :D Apparently SLP has taken the 99$ take out units off the web page. They have offered them for the last few years, maybe ran out of stock since they were take out units from customers cars.

I posted a link about a week ago to the $99 posi at SLP. I guess he who hesitates is lost. ;) The mods I did to my 88 were simple and cheap, but got rid of all my wheel hop and really helped traction. I boxed the factory pieces with steel, installed poly bushings, take off Z28 springs and shocks from SLP for $37.50, (the rear suspension in the thirdgen Camaro is the same as the 4th gen, other than the width of the rear itself) and Airlift air bags, along with said posi. I'm glad I got an extra posi when they were available. :D

The $99 zexel was a take out... no more camaro/firebirds no more zexels to take out.

But with a zexel if you unload one rear tire, it acts like an open. HORRIBLE!!!!

If your Z has stock rear springs... put Mog-5665 @summit in. They are stock height but a little bit stiffer that help bit. Maybe try some drag shocks along with em. Get the Spohn Lower Control Arm recloation brackets. Get after market control arms or box your own. Install subframe connectors. And if you can afford it one of the best mods to do is the adjustable torque arm. Setting pinion angle is very vital in proper hook up.

With the car sitting in the driveway look at the angle of the control arms. If the rear end mount is higher than the body mount... you need relcation brackets to make the rear mount below the body mount. Anything you do use poly bushings, don't use stock rubber crap.
