hey guys anyone have any REAL stories of these rods and their true HP limit
I had my motor dynoed when i built it and then it had 491 hp 512ft lbs plus i squirt it with 100-150 shot depending how fast i want to go..
Now over the winter I am putting the RIGHT cam into it that i should have put in there in the first place a matched solid roller and that my engine guy and MANY others say will net this motor up to 600 HP and 570+ ft lbs
will i be able to squirt this after the new mods
or should i redo the rotating assembly
I have a good scat crank and good wiseco forged pistons on a 4 bolt block that is super blueprinted and balanced ;)
I just ran out of money when it came to the original roller setup and rods and i got the 5.7 sir eagle rods new for a steal
so should i get the h beams or ??

600 with spray? I'd change them. Usually it is rpm that kills rods but you will be putting a lot of pressure on the pistons.

That is a sick sbc combo one of the fastest sbc first gen montes out there for sure! graemlins/thumbsup.gif Maybe someday I'll add a 100-150 shot to the combo, cheapest way to get lower ETs, maybe I'll just be able to squeak my way into the 10 sec '71 Monte club someday too! smile.gif
