There is PUI, Legendary, and I can't think of one with OPGI, are there any more companies that make stock pattern seat upholstery for 1970 interiors?

This has nothing to do with who is best. I'm trying to match existing upholstery and none of the 3 above do. I have samples from the above and no matches. My seats are not orginal to the car. They had cloth inserts and the ones I have do not. They could be GM replacements from the dealer, maybe older versions of the 3 above, somebody thats not in the buisness anymore or is there anybody else? I'm stuck and need help. Med blue buckets 1970.

I'm confused. In your original post, you said that you were looking for companies that "make stock pattern seat upholstery". In your thread reply, you state that your seats "are not original to the car". If they're not original to the car, (assuming by original you mean the factory original seats with the original factory design). Is it the design that you are having problems with, or is it the ability to match your color blue?

I'm sorry let me try to clear this up. My car had 762 cloth insert on the cowl tag bench seat. It now has what I believe to be 765 bench correct pattern. The mentioned above all have the correct waffle patern, you are correct I can't match the color. My interior is near perfect I just want to put buckets in and can't match the color. I hope that clears it up. It may be impossible to match.

Are you saying you can't match the vinyl, or the Cloth?

to the best of my knowledge nobody makes cloth orignals. My seats now are all vinyl. Can't match color. Called Chuck H. and he told me that die batches could be different on oem ones. unless someone has some ideas looks like dye time. Or a whole new interior.:(

If you contact the guy at Legendary, he may make them for you.

I wasn't happy with the color of the Vinyl seats I ordered from PUI.

I contacted my vendor (Ground-up) and they had PUI send me samples of all of the Red's they carry. (12) in total.

I picked the Red that best suited my tastes.

Interior manufacturers uses several different shades for several different applications.

I would contact your preferred vendor and have the manufacturer, or several manufacturers (PUI, Legendary), send you vinyl samples to best match your existing interior.

Certainly one of the shades offered by one of the manufacturers should be a close fit.

My father-in-law had a horrible time with Legendary when trying to get an interior for our 1965 Belvedere. Had to send seat covers and door panels back 3 times for them to get it right. And they tried to charge him full price every time they were fixing their own errors. He even sent them a swatch of the original, correct seatcover. He is still fighting them for overcharging him by $500.

It all depends on the individual circumstances I guess.

I have nothing but good things to say about my custom shaded PUI interior, yet have heard horror stories on here from PUI, and raving accolades about Legendary.

It's all in the Luck of the draw I guess.
