I posted this in Chevelle tech, but I will probably have a better chance of a response here.I have a 72 chevelle wagon. I am putting a bulkhead connector on the firewall for the pos. battery cable. The engine is not in the car yet. Can someone tell me where I can mount this connector at without the eng. in the car. Maybe even perhaps a photo. You can see my firewall on my website. I put ss on it, and what you see is about how it's going to stay except for the bulkhead connector and my wires to the dist. Everything else is routed inside. I guess I am being impatient with the connector, but every little thing that gets done is one less thing to do later.

Lets see if I can help. I wish I had a picture of how mine is mounted. Mine is not actually on the firewall, its on the surface that leans towards the back of the car, which is actually the angles piece where the passanger will put their feet. Its just above the corner that is created by the flat floor, the foot pad, and about 2 inches to the outside of where the trans tunnel starts to form. I hope that helps.

I got the part about 2" in from where the trans tunnel starts. The other part I have a question on. Is it at the top or bottom of the angled part where the pass. will put there feet?

Just went out in the rain and looked at the chevelle. I guess it's at the bottom. I guess now i could actually wait till I got the engine in, maybe Monday, then I can really get a good idea. I was going to pre install the connector, but since my neighbors gave me a hand with my truck hood, i went ahead and got the motor out. i guess now I'm even more excited. I know this thing is going to be even quicker than the truck, more aero, better rear suspension, the stereo will sound better, and it's going to be set up the way i want it, since she was just a body and frame when i got the thing. Oh well, now the sun needs to come out, and the chevelle needs to be pushed forward. See Ya'll graemlins/clonk.gif
