Don_Lightfoot Dec 10th, 07, 7:29 PM Could be Chris, but think the one I would want could be more expensive - 69 RA IV stick
mr 4 speed Dec 10th, 07, 7:31 PM Could be Chris, but think the one I would want could be more expensive - 69 RA IV stick
yup..this one is close though. Big money for these cars
69396ss Dec 10th, 07, 7:46 PM Boy, that certainly dosen't have the look and feel of an 8900 mile survivor does it?
DougA Dec 10th, 07, 7:47 PM What kind of rear is that,10 bolt?
jfkheat Dec 10th, 07, 7:59 PM Actually, a 69 Trans Am convertible is the most expensive. Only 8 or 9 built. They sell for $1,000,000 plus.

nb707 Dec 10th, 07, 8:02 PM i think it a good deal only 212 built 455 sd this car could get a million in 10 years if gas available for under 5.00 a gallon this car it really the last of the great muscle car era. low miles ect this is the kinda of stuff that can reach that number because ther may be only one left with that low milage
savage71chevelless Dec 10th, 07, 8:15 PM blows my mind, i never thought anything post 72 could sniff 50 grand, shows what i know. For 8,900 miles, i would think it would have its original wheels, tires, and plug wires
Philip Dec 10th, 07, 8:55 PM What kind of rear is that,10 bolt?
Yes it is an 8.5" 10 bolt. Plenty strong enough to handle the power of the 455.

I was thinking the same. For 165k, it should have everything original.
nb707 Dec 10th, 07, 11:23 PM nothing get passed you guy i agree iam droping my price to 100k in 10 years maybe
72ElkieSS Dec 10th, 07, 11:49 PM This guy always has some big-bucko car 4 sale. Usually mopars. I've thought about trying to find his house to check out the operation. Its kind of funny if you look at the pics. His place looks like a cuban druglords compound and there is a small ranch accross the street!
Rackman89 Dec 11th, 07, 12:43 AM Don't forget the $500,000 69 TA hardtop that was on ebay recently.....and the $140,000 example that followed....
Neal Wright Dec 11th, 07, 8:19 AM blows my mind, i never thought anything post 72 could sniff 50 grand, shows what i know.
The '73 & '74 Super Duty cars are about the only thing that come's to mind. I don't think there are any other cars considered "muscle" after '72.

oldtimebaseballfan Dec 11th, 07, 11:25 AM 87 Buick GNX's regularly go for 60,000-100,000. now.
1970SS396&1967 Dec 11th, 07, 2:18 PM Nice car......ugly wheels.
jhilts Dec 11th, 07, 2:31 PM Looks like it had a hard 8,900 miles.
8sec71 Dec 11th, 07, 4:03 PM How much hp was the sd 455 rated at in 74?
BrentsChevelle Dec 11th, 07, 4:18 PM His place looks like a cuban druglords compound and there is a small ranch accross the street!
Yeah, all the houses across the street look modest. And it's hard to miss the Hummer in his driveway, too.
barryt Dec 11th, 07, 5:37 PM OK
what about the welded exhaust? did not think factory started doing this until like 1976
8,900 miles should have been no reason to replace the exhaust
rims???????
sambrutay Dec 11th, 07, 9:55 PM probably had the speedo unhooked for a month at the most...........
Dave Birdwell Dec 11th, 07, 10:35 PM How much hp was the sd 455 rated at in 74?
290, IIRC.
The exhaust systems were not stainless steel at this time yet, so with a hard life it could've needed an exhaust. Or at one time the car had headers, which REALLY opens these cars up! My friend had a 72 455HO and it had headers and he put the manifolds back on it and it choked it down badly.
