I have a M22 and at high speeds 80-100 plus it vibrates until the linkage is completely out and will not shift in 3 or 4. I'm thinking something in the drive train is out of alignment or unbalanced and until high speeds it not noticeable but is very bad.

Balance drive shaft?
Bad M22?
Bad bearings?
Bad Pilot bearing were tranny enters motor?

When linkage is correct 1st 2nd work like a charm 3rd and 4th have issues 60% of the time going into gear. My M22 was rebuild 10 months ago and I wish I would have used the torq-loc sliders which I might still need to do. What do ya'll think here's a video of my car you can hear a bad noise with or without clutch engaged.

Check the pinion angle. Have you replaced the rear end or upper control arms? Do a search for "pinion angle"

What is all that noise I hear in that video??? That you grinding on the gears or just bad audio??? I just watched it again, that was you grinding on the gears:noway::noway:

You need to adjust the clutch and the very least, then learn how to row that baby through the gears without lifting off the loud peddle.:D:D

I have my doubts the trans is causing severe vibration, drive shaft, tires, wheels, etc. Even brake drums can cause vibration, axle bearings, the list is long.

I had a bad vibration when I first got my 67 put back together. It was a bent rim where someone slapped the car against a curb, probibly in a power slide, and you could only feel it at freeway speeds. Wally is right. Check the balance on all rotating parts before you look at the tranny.

Start simple, then go for bigger later.

If car has not been srewed up in the past and has stock drivrtrain the pinion angle should not be that far off.

I would stat with new u-jounts and have the shaft ballanced with new trans yoke and go from there.

doing just that will often get rid of the vibs or at least greatly reduce them.

If you still had some vibes after that i would look at replacing the rear trans bushing in tialshaft and als check out the pinion gear bearing to see if thats worn out/slpy causing vibes.

I had a pinion nut come loose one time that caused vibes so check that out too.

BYW,can yoyu feel the vibes if you rev the motor sitting still in neutral with clutch out and then with clutch depressed?

If yes it could also be a clutch/pressure plate/flywheel being out of ballance,i just went thorugh that in my own car with a brand new luke clutch that picekd up vibes only after new clutch went in.

I had to pul it all appart a 2nd time to have clutch ballanced with flywhell, then the vibes went away. i had replacred countless clutched iin the past 36+ yrs and that was the 1st time i was burnt like that when installing a new clutch,i guess i will be ballencing every new clutch i install from now on,thats for sure.

Macninest told me 10-20 yrs ago clutches were ballanced fine but today he says he see issues all the time and rec to ballance any new clutch to be installed so you dont get burnt like i did.
