A year ago I dismantled the engine compartment leaving motor in to detail the motor ,etc. In the meantime my wife has thrown away my pics & documentation for reassembly! Any suggestions on sources to regain assembly info for a 67' 283 2brl, Fact. A/C, Pwr Steering......?

Most Chevelle suppliers have a section in the back of their catalogs that will list manuals.
While your ordering consider buying the assembly manual, body by Fisher manual, and a shop manual. You can also buy a restoration manual if your going to go that far with it.

The Assembly Instruction Manual is also sold by numerous vendors on eBay, generally in the $20-$26 range. There are two versions being offered.

This one I haven't used but comes with 3-hole punched pages and probably looseleaf style although ad doesn't specify. It's on the $20 side.

The ones I have are this style and it's a bound version and is $26. Faxon Auto Literature (http://www.faxonautolit.com) is where I buy mine (now have 66/67/69/70 versions) and they also sell on eBay or via their website.
Might also look at the Detroit Iron CD available through numerous dealers and also right here (http://www.worldcomputing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=chevelle&Product_Code=CRM&Category_Code=M1) on TC. It has the Chassis Service Manual,Body Service Manual, and (best part in my opinion, the Chevrolet Parts & Accessory parts book. Generally the 1971/72 verson of the parts book is used so some part numbers shown are service replacement items and may not match the AIM. One caveat, I've found it works well on Windows 2000 and XP but haven't gotten it to work right with Vista, yet...
Good luck with the project. I'm sure one of the hundreds of members here can help if you run into something that you're not sure about!
