I am looking to buy 68-69 ss.I found some cars in my price range that would need some work.Since i am new at this i need some help determining the cost and avalbility and experiance needed to do these repairs.The one car in particular would need Re-chrome of front and rear bumpers and also door handels and bezels around the tail lights.Not sure what this cost.Car has no exhaust tip? Did 68 have tips and can i still get them.All the weather stripping and door rubber and window fuzzys need replacing? Not sure the cost and how much work this is.The dash looks rough,Not the pad but the plastic.Can these be repaired or rebuilt?Any help would be great . Thanks

No exhaust tips on 68s. Everything you mentioned is available in reproduction except the dash plastic. If you look around you may be able to get a decent used one. There are a couple dash repair places. http://www.autoinstruments.com/ might be able to help you.
