Ok guys, maybe I'm a moron but I just want to make sure I get this right.........

I bought some bolt in steel valve stems made by NAPA for my new wheels. I plan on mounting my own slicks and front tires.

Question is, has anyone used something like this before? I assume the nut and washer come off, the stem goes through the rim and the nut and washer gets tighened down on the outside. Might anyone have a torque spec or am I just being too critical?

I just want to make sure I do it right and learn something in the process. If anyone needs a pic I'd be glad a post it!!

Thanks!!

Tighten them untill the rubber seals good on the inside of the rim.

I used the same valve stems just tighten them untill they seal and don't leak

Thanks guys, I know it was a dumb question, but I'd rather be safe than do something stupid!!

Loosing a valve stem over 100 mph in the 1/4 is not something I want to do........lol

Thanks again!!

When it comes to safety, pays to be sure.
