While assembling my engine I forgot to install an oil plug which can only be installed with the head off the engine. I didn't catch it untill just before I was ready to start it up for the first time. live and learn I guess:).

I have the head off now but the threads are all wet with coolant and oil. Whats the best and easiest way to make sure the threads on the head bolts seal? I don't have any of the white thread sealant but I do have some rtv grey. will that work?

the rtv should be fine IMO, that 406 should be strong. I wonder what the 30-30 will sound like in a 406. graemlins/beers.gif
