Hey guys, have a little problem here maybe you can help with. I put a TPI engine in my dads 68 Chevelle. I bought a new tank and fabbed in the large style opening from the donor cars gas tank that I got the eninge from and modified and shortened a 2.8 TBI s10 sending unit to work in the tank and hold the new fuel pump for the TPI. Everything came out perfect and the car runs beautifully. Only problem is that my gas gauge went right to full as soon as I put gas in it. Now according to SPECTRA PREMIUM, which is a very well know manufacturer of fuel sending units, they list the OHMS range the same on their website for the 68 CHevelle and the 1990 S10 which is why I didnt bother trying to utilize the chevelle sending unit onto the s10 sending unit. I just used the entire s10 assembly. Now Im wondering if there info is off. They claim that the range is 0-95 ohms for both sending units. Can anyone elaborate here?
