I'am switching my 1969 Chevelle Malibu over from a column shift to floor shift, I'am putting in a original console and horse shoe shifter, my shifter has a neutral safety switch already on, I'am sure I can figure out the console harness ok but I'am not to sure on the extension harness, as to where those would go, I'am going to go look at a steering column, in the pictures sent to me it shows a switch at the end of the column, does that switch get removed seeing that I have the switch on the shifter, also I was told that a manual column has a short and straight arm where the linkage from the trans. hooks to and an automatic column has a longer arm with a bend in it. Can someone let me know on if this is correct. I hate to end up with the wrong column. I want it to work the way it is suppose to. Thanx Jerry
