This guy has the short block from a Kansas built 68 Chevelle with 186638 VIN (it's listed incorrectly as a 70 in the ad). No affiliation with the seller, just thought it would be cool to match it up with the original car. Good luck-

This is an original L89 Block #272 4 bolt dated H 2 8 with an assembly code with broach marks still intact, of T1203KE which "he says" is a 396/375 with aluminum heads w/manual transmission.
It is a fresh .030 over with the vin down by the oil filter is 19N366287 .... e-bay PRICE - $4000.........

The price is about $6-700 too high on a short block with a spun bearing.

Ive got a 69 JA 325hp short block with a fresh crank kit, new rings, oil pump, tin. cant even get offers at half that. jim

.KE is a Camaro suffix for 396/375 in 1969 and "N" is good for Norwood, OH. but the sequence number is suspect...Camaros started with 500001 where Chevelles started with 300001 in 1969. Norwood did move the CON VIN to the oil filter area in December of 68; maybe the CON VIN is really 19N566287 where last reported VIN at Norwood was 569987?
