This is really a post for any car lover.

There is an absolutely gorgeous Buick Grand National prominently shown in the new TV show, Life. They were really thrashing it in this week's episode and it was fun to watch. Footage included a pavement-level, behind-the-rear-tire camera shot of a wicked stop light launch with the car going sideways, smoke and all. Nice! :thumbsup:

The show ain't bad either. Try to catch it. The main character is played by the actor who was so good as the lieutenant in Band of Brothers.

I've watched the Zen Master several times. Decent show... excelent car. I like how they smashed he high-end german car in the first episode. Then he saw the GN, but always wondered how all the cops he is watching don't noticed a highly polished black and white GN sitting across the street with loud exhaust.

"Life's" GN has some ugly stripes on it, saw it just a few days ago..........bleech!

Like the show got it DVR'd everyweek, but if they could get the evil hiss sound of a Turbo Buick correct I'd be much happier, under boost even a stock TB sounds good. I'm willing to bet the car on the show its making the right sounds, but the sound engineer is a F&F fan who likes high compression small blocks instead, not that theres anything wrong with HC SBC's :D and that huge stripe, yeah, it has to go...

Is it just me, or do they always dub V8 N/A engine sounds over the Turbo V6??? I know they don't sound like a "hot rod" but dubbing over with V8 sounds seems like a sacriledge for a GN. :sad:

That's nothing Derek. Watch Back to the Future Part 3 when Marty lines up the DeLorean at the drive-in to go back to 1885. Nothing like the sound of a hot rod DeLorean :sad: Sounds like they use a clip of the 454 in my 70 for that one...

No it's not white, is GN Black but it has white/silver around the hood bulge. Anyway, he gave the car away on Wednesday to some random chick so I'm sure we'll never see it again.
