I have a 66, non a/c car and want to put in a nice stereo system. Im not sure where I should mount my front speakers? I thought about boxes under my sear. If I put speakers in the kick panels, I lose my fresh air vents. Im not a fan of cutting holes in my door?

Any help?

If all you want is midrange and treble up front ? You could try these :

Or save some money, buy a pair of 4" speakers, make your own bracket
and install a Good pair of 6x9s in the rear tray for bass :D

Kenwood makes a pair of 4x6 that come with grills. Painted the color of your kick panel it will have somewhat of a factory look. Crutchfield has them.

I didn't want to cut my panels so I bought a good pair of 4 inch speakers and I made brackets and mounted them under my dash in both corners pointing down. They are a tight fit but sound good.
