I have a chance to buy a good set of 331 gears with an open carrier complete. He wants half of new, what are they worth? :confused:

Seen many good sets sell here for around 100. Thats just for the ring and pinion though.

A 3 series open carrier is worth $50,3.31 gears $75-100 IMHO and experience.

If you hang out for a little while, my understanding was that Richmond amongst others were going to start making a 3.31 gearset again very soon. If you can't hold out, like Chris stated around a hundred bucks, a little higher on sites like ebay. I've seen people give away open carriers though. Of course with the new lockers being able to use open carriers these days, I'm sure those days are a thing of the past though.

the 3.31 are worth right at 100.00 in good shape
