Is anyone planning to reproduce the 70 (and 71-72) AM FM 8-track dial lense
that fits in the 8-track door ? I am talking about the rectangular lens with the station numbers printed on it . I need one BAD , and I need it right now.
I'd pay a crazy price for one if they became available. Are any of the resto companies working on this , does anyone know ?

Hi. I just had my AM/8-track for my 70 SS totally restored. I can get the guys name who did the work. Met him at Carlyle. May have a lead or two for you.

I'd love to find a junky non-working 70 am fm 8-track (or even a 71-72)just to get the dial lense. I'd be willing to pay $ 500 for a parts radio, just to get the lense, and 8-track door assembly.
If anybody has a lead on one, I would greatly appreciate it.

You will have to get a 70 parts radio because the lettering is green. The 71-72 radio has white lettering.

Yes, I am well aware that 71-2 is white , and 70 is green. Since I specialize in restoring Delco radios, I have a process which tints the white dials into green when I have to , although it's not easy .

I have a aftermarket motorola out of a 70. Tape goes in door that numbers are on,am fm 8 track.above door on left is prog. button,beside it are the lighted prog.numbers,am fm button,mo.st. button lo. dx. button. Nice but needs repair if anybody is in need of it.
