Hi. My car is sleeping for the winter and of course as luck would have it, one of my tires are deflating! I have been adding air to it twice a day and it is becoming a pain!! It has a slow (IMO...fast) leak. It is the rear driver's side. The car has the f-41 suspension, so I was wondering how to jack up the rear? Can I put a jack under the stabilizer rod under the differential? What about just in front of the stabilizer bar??? I was thinking about jacking under the circle where the I-beam is, but I'm not sure if is strong enough. Looks like cancer got to it over the years. Thoughts? How can I jack up the rear to get the tire fixed and put right back on? Thanks in advance. Tom.

Floor jack, frame just in front of the rear tire, take off tire, repair, put tire back on, tighten lug nuts.

You dont need to get the whole rear end off the ground for this, just the affected side and that would work just like any other tire change.

FYI - if you have an americas tire or discount tire co near by just put air in the tire, drive it over and they will do it all for free.

And just so we're clear - dont use your swaybar as a jack point. Frame, under the rear differential and then onto jack stands on the frame, main crossmember up front....use your sway bar and your next Q might be "Where do I get a new sway bar?" and I dont have a youtube video of a sway bar install on hand. :D:beers:

For sure but the bent sway bar was on purpose, its a circle track racers trick that I learned from a pro named Patter that once frequented this site. That and cutting off two full coils on the driver side only and an old water bed in the trunk for adjustable ride height (depending on how much I fill it up).
