I bought one of those kits for my 77 Cutlas about 10 years ago. The hose that was provided for oil lines kept blowing out on me! Tried splicing it 3 times before I sent the whole mess back. Im lucky I didnt lose that engine! Hope you have better luck.

I relocated mine but mostly because I couldn't fit ANY oil filter past the kicked out pan and my headers. I'm pretty sure my kit was from Mr. Gasket and I figured since I'm had to run it anyways, I'd just go ahead and make it a dual filter setup.

I ran the lines between the header tubes (not by choice... and I wrapped them with header wrap to keep them from getting brittle) up past the back side of the PB vac can and across the driver-side fender to the front where I mounted the filter adapter. It's a pretty neat set up and it's nice and easy to change the filters. I don't have any pics right now but I can take some this weekend. I work all day tomorrow but I can email them to you Sunday night if you want. Let me know.

Chris, pics would be great ! I also have kickout oil pan clearance problems.I picked up Mr. Gasket ends and Russel braided lines. Now, I'm looking for a "clean" way to mount the lines. It sounds like you used the route I thought of taking. Dcairns560, what type of hose did you use ? I looked at some of the kits and they just plain looked cheap. Thanks, Jay

you can get a really slick remote mount setup at any boneyard out of a 4X4 S10 Blazer with a 4.3.

I have my Oberg mounted right next to my master cylinder on the firewall, but I have a lift off hood and no fender wells.

I used the "high pressure" hose that came with the kit.

I used the kit from Transdapt that comes with pre-crimped sealed hoses with AN swivel fittings on the ends. I used some of the high temp hose covering to insulate them. Worked really well. I'll post a pic of them when I get home.

Hey Jay, sorry man but I didn't get a chance to take those photos today like I thought I was going to be able to. I've been trying to get my oil leaked fixed. I'll make sure I get them done tomorrow and send them to you. What's your email by the way?

I used a Moroso remote mount and a Moroso block off plate with -10 braided line on my BBC.

Jay, I was just up in the panhandle about 6 months ago buying a motorcycle (in Cantonment, FL). I was my first time being up there but it seemed pretty nice. If you go to the beach while you're there, I heard that the Gulf of Mexico up there has nice, white sandy beaches and bluer water than over in Daytona or elsewhere on the east coast. I haven't been, but thats what I've heard. Oh yeah, there aren't really any waves on the Gulf side though. Where are you thinking about staying?

Chris, I've heard the same things about the handle . We are thinking about Pensacola. We've been all over Fla. I don't think there are any bad places there to visit.

Jay - we ran dual remote filters mounted up by the radiator with about 3 1/2' of 10AN braided line back and forth, but eventually replaced that with a single CM (Canton racing Products) filter mounted on the firewall with about 15" of 12AN braided line back and forth (see picture in lower right). (http://home.att.net/~rhcopeland/engine.htm)

BTW, after the change our oil pressure was more consistent at the top end of the track.
