what's the difference between comp cams solid roller lifters for BBC, part number 819 and 866?
The 819's are like $350 for set of 16, while the 866's are $500 for set of 16.
they have different "body styles" so I've seen and I think the 866's are .300" taller. What is the quality or application difference? Why are the 866's $200 more for a set of 16. There must be a reason

are you serious?
ever try getting a hold of them? you have about a 10% chance of getting through to their tech support in less than 10 minutes. and yes I've filled out their online tech support request form......might as be sending something to President Bush - would have more luck doing that. I've never got a response from the online support method from them.
sorry - don't mean to be rude...........
so the answer to your question is, I've never talked to them about it. I find that most guys on this forum know more about their products than they do.

866 is .300 taller for street cars so in most cases you can run a shorted pushrods than with the 819's, if you dont mind buying one piece pushrods which any engine should have go with which ever is cheaper but i would go with the taller lifter so i could get the shortest possible pushrod
