O. K... The time has come to start on the old 68 SS. I am going to replace the radiator support, wheel wells, heater box and rewire under the hood with the engine harness and light harness. Any suggestions on what I should get as far as bushings. bolts, etc. Never did this before. The car is in great shape but the 40 years is starting to show. Thanks for any suggestions

I had my '69 front end rebuilt with polyurethane bushings. The ride is so tight that when I took the rear sway bar off, there was no noticeable difference in corning. It handles like a new car (a big one). Unfortunately, you can also feel every single bump in the road and even little potholes can be jarring.

If I were to do it over again, I'd rebuild the front end with rubber bushings to have a more comfortable ride, and then beef up the front sway bar and add a good rear sway bar to improve cornering.
