I have a 69 396 car with steering and a/c....with headers
It has a long pump and std. set up now, but ,,,,
I would like to flip the alternator over to the driver side and
relocate the a/c compressor to the pass side like on a 68...
I have a brand new short water pump and pulley set up...
Has anyone ever done this ? can anyone advise any bracket #'s
to move the alternator to driver side and will it work with the 69
steering pump and headers ??? I do not have the 69 a/c brackets
anyways , so I thought I would clean it up by mounting on the pass side
to keep from having the long hoses running accross the front of the motor
Any help would be appreciated

Just a thought: I have seen other people get longer ac hoses and run them from the driverside to the fender and in front of the radatior and along side the passenger side fender.

I think you would have a tough time making a 69 PS pump work under the alternator.
68's used a remote reservoir PS pump.
